Pittock Reservoir

Beach

Part of the Pittock Conservation Area, the Pittock Dam and Reservoir were completed in 1967. Beach facilities include picnic areas, BBQs, washrooms, beach volleyball courts and a playground. Visitors may fish (for perch, bass, and pike) and boating is allowed though restrictions apply. Canoe rentals are available.There is also a 2km hiking trail nearby and over 250 campsites with access to hot showers. It is also home to the Oxford Sailing Club and the Woodstock Sea Cadets. As of Sept 2012 the water has been declared unsafe for swimming due to high levels of bacteria.
