Port Wing West

Beach

A tale of two beaches, Port Wing East (Harbor Park) and Port Wing West offer two very different experiences for being separated by the mouth of the harbor.

Port Wing East, or Harbor Park, offers ample parking, restrooms and picnic tables along with a walking path out on the breakwall to the Port Wing Harbor. The beach on the west side of the harbor offers a longer, sandy beach without any amenities or facilities. Those looking for convenience might consider enjoying Harbor Park, while those looking for a little more seclusion and a further drive from town will enjoy the western side.

Access to Harbor Park is directly in town at the end of Beach Road. The western beach is accessed outside of town along Quarry road. At the junction of Quarry Rd and Quarry Point Road hang a right on Quarry point and then another right at the first intersection you come to after Quarry/Quarry Point. The road ends in a small turnaround with limited parking. From the turnaround the beach is a short walk.

Please observe all posted regulations during your visit. Prior to enjoying your day at the beach or on the water, please check the local weather forecast and be attentive to changing conditions. Questions can be directed to the town of Port Wing at 715-774-3662.
