Sand Point Beach in 2007 was named by the Weather Channel as one of the “Top Five Summer Beaches in America.” The beach can be found within Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior. The Lakeshore extends for 42 miles along the shore of Lake Superior and contains 15 miles of colourful sandstone cliffs. Sand Point Beach is easily accessible and boasts a white sand beach with views of Mining Bay, Grand Island, the East Channel Lighthouse, and the shoreline of the national lakeshore.
