Steenburg Lake Public Beach is in Gilmour, Ontario, 30 minutes away from Bancroft in the Township of Limerick. The public beach is a great space for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and boating. There are four islands in Steenburg lake to explore, including Dewey's Island, Powers Island, Crab Island, and Picket Island. There is also plenty of wildlife along the shoreline and lots of fish, including splake and large mouth bass, to going fishing for.

Steenburg Lake is monitored weekly by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
