Located a short drive south of Milwaukee, the Wind Point Lighthouse and Beach are a must see for locals and visitors alike. Built in 1880, the lighthouse is the oldest and tallest continuously operated light on the Great Lakes. The lighthouse is open on select days throughout the year for visitors to climb the tower. Visit the Wind Point Lighthouse website for more information. The beach and park are open from 6 am to 9 pm year round. Restrooms are available on-site but are only open during the summer months. No information regarding dogs visiting the beach is available on the website. Questions regarding l beach regulations can be directed to the visitors office at 262-639-3777. Please read and obey all posted regulations during your visit. The beach is open for swimming, but is not staffed with lifeguards. Be sure to swim within your ability and obey all posted rules while visiting the beach.
