Bowmanville/Westside Marshes Conservation Area

Park

Bowmanville Conservation Area is a lovely restored habitat that spans a near 200 acres. The region is home to two provincially significant coastal wetlands, with viewing platforms to bring you closer to the wildlife. The park is an important nesting habitat and stopover ground for many migrating and resident bird species, so you will definitely want to bring your binoculars. Keep your eyes peeled for the nesting osprey and large swan families! A looping trail will bring you around the upland area, between the two wetlands. This 1.5 km trail is wheelchair and stroller friendly — perfect for the whole family. For a workout, expand your hike to the nearby Waterfront Trail.
