Chapman Mills Conservation Area is a 23 acre park located along the Rideau River, near Ottawa, Ontario. It hosts one of the most sensitive and stunning habitats along this vast river, with wetlands, shoreline habitat, and floodplains unique to the Ottawa region. There is no shortage of beautiful scenery year-round and visitors can experience it first-hand through the 1.5 km of trails and boardwalks. Stroll through the park, stop for a picnic at the covered pavillion or fish in the river. Along the way, you will find yourself immersed in nature and history with the educational signs that line your path. And don’t just explore by land: discover Chapman Mills by water by launching your canoe or kayak from the boat launch located near the picnic pavilion.
