Ganaraska Millennium Conservation Area is lovely natural getaway with plenty of recreational opportunities. The park is located just north of the city of Port Hope, Ontario, and is home to 2 km of trails that wind their way around the Ganaraska River and Molson Pond area. Alongside the opportunities for cross country skiing, hiking, and fishing, the park also hosts demonstrations to show landowners how they might adopt conservation techniques on their own property. In the spring, rainbow trout travel up the Ganaraska River to their annual spawning grounds, surrounded by marsh marigolds. In autumn, the park is transformed into a beautiful palette of yellows and reds, with migrating birds and coho and chinook salmon spawning in the river. You won’t want to miss a trip to Ganaraska Millennium Conservation Area!
