From swimming, to paddling, to fishing and zip lining, this well-loved conservation area has it all. Located in the City of Brampton, Heart Lake Conservation Area offers a wide array of exciting outdoor activities. Discover ziplining and treetop trekking at the aerial park, featuring 8 courses, 10 ziplines, and upwards of 75 aerial games! Hike to some of the most captivating vistas in Southern Ontario, as the trails take you through hills, meadows, forest, a kettle lake, and wetlands. Or, rent a boat for an enjoyable sunset paddle around the beautiful lake.

This is also a popular park for kids’ activities, hosting day camps, educational programs (like Learn to Fish), a Wet Wetland Splash Pad, and a large pool surrounded by dense forests. No matter what you’re looking for, Heart Lake Conservation Area has something for you!

When I got to Professors Lake for the first time, I was fascinated to find a lake with clean, swimmable water in a wholly urban environment: what a rare treat and treasure!
