Mara Provincial Park

Park

Only a 10-minute drive from the town of Orillia, Mara Provincial Park is the perfect escape for a peaceful, nature filled day visit, or a weekend camping trip. The park is relatively small, so walking to the park beach through the forested, shady campsites is accessible and easier for families with small children. The soft, sandy beach is surprisingly large for the size of the park. When you arrive there, you will see the crystal-clear waters of Lake Simcoe. The beach is a natural beauty with a sandbar that extends far out into the lake. This also means that the waters warm up quickly each spring. During the hot Ontario summers, there is nothing that compares to a swim in this clear lake to cool off, letting your cares float away. You can also enjoy winter activities in this park. Please contact the park for more details.
