For a firsthand look at the power and force of glacial meltwater, visit the three waterfalls in Oxtongue River-Ragged Falls. This park is renowned for its natural feel, with what is possibly one of the last wild and intact waterfalls in Ontario. Ragged Falls on the Oxtongue river has never been dammed or diverted, and remains beautifully forested on either side. This waterfall thunders and twists down a steep cascade. You can get a great view at the base of the falls, or at the top, along the rocks that border them. Head a bit upstream and you’ll find the Gravel Falls, showing the erosive power of glacial meltwater. The third waterfall (Marsh’s falls) is downstream, after which the river begins to meander through a broad valley and flows into Dwight Bay. These impressive natural areas are a must see! You can also enjoy winter activities in this park. Please contact the park for more details.
