Situated east of Bewdley, in Hamilton Township, this conservation area is located on the southern tip of its namesake, Rice Lake, one of the prettiest and storied lakes in the Kawarthas. This 182 acre greenspace offers opportunities for hiking, picnicking, birding, photography and wildlife appreciation. The 2.6 km of trail is lightly trafficked and good for all skill levels. A great fact about this area: the forest at Rice Lake sits atop the Oak Ridges Moraine, a unique and important natural feature that spans over 160 km from the Niagara Escarpment to the Trent River. Discover a slice of its beauty at Rice Lake Conservation Area!
