Tiffany Falls Conservation Area

Tiffany Falls Conservation Area is a beautiful park filled with dense forests, wide tallgrass meadows, and exposed bedrock. The forest is composed of a wide variety of tree species, including Red Oaks, American Beeches, and White Elms. Many rare and important species live here, including the Hickory hairstreak butterfly, the Northern Ringneck Snake, and the Purple Clematis flower. The Conservation Area is also home to two waterfalls: Tiffany and Washboard falls that stream down from the rushing Tiffany Creek. Tiffany Falls is a beautiful cascade waterfall, standing an impressive 21 m tall. The falls and conservation area were named after Dr. Oliver Tiffany — the first doctor to ever serve in the Ancaster, Ontario region. The area has been designated as an Earth Science Area of Regional Significance.
