Welcome to Chaumont Bay, the largest freshwater bay on earth! The fishing in this area is regarded as some of the best on the Great Lakes. Nature lovers will enjoy the nearby Chaumont Barrens, one of the last alvar grasslands on earth. This prairie-like landscape has very little top soil. If you look closely, you can find ancient marine fossils in the rocks.

I paddleboard in Lake Ontario quite a bit. Just a couple of days ago I was actually on Cherry Beach. I love to paddle board in all directions like Ashbridges Bay and the Toronto Islands.
