Georgian Bay - Port Severn

Beach

A family-oriented waterfront area newly constructed by the township of Severn as part of a larger park facility, Port Severn Beach is accessible directly from the 400 highway. Port Severn is a community formerly known as ‘Coldwater’, a translation of the name bestowed upon it by native settlers in the nineteenth century. Built to service locals, cottagers, and day tourists, Port Severn Beach features include a sand beachfront and a splash-pad water play area for the little ones. The park adjacent to the beach has picnic tables, washrooms, and a snack bar. Be advised that the beach does not provide lifeguards and asks swimmers to enjoy the water at their own risk.
