Carleton Place built this park in 1967, to celebrate the 100th birthday of Canada becoming a country. On the North side of the Mississippi River, Centennial Park includes a place to swim, picnic, play ball or use the playground.

Carleton Place a construit ce parc en 1967 pour célébrer le 100e anniversaire que Canada est devenue un pays. Situé sur le côté nord de la rivière Mississippi, Centennial Park comprend un endroit pour nager, pour le pique-nique, pour jouer à la balle et une aire de jeux.

We got to paddle around in that and I had been to Ontario lakes before but this was something else, this was like I said, pristine and remote and everything that I thought Canada and Ontario should be.
