Parc Charlottenburg Park

Beach

(La version française suivra) Managed by the Raisin Region Conservation Authority, the park features a diverse environment with many types of ecosystems including white pine and spruce plantations, a mixed hardwood forest, Class 2 Provincially Significant wetlands, Lake St. Francis and its tributaries, meadows and a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) managed forest area.

The park is already located along a frequently traveled heritage highway with its accompanying bicycle path. With year round access, this site is able to offer swimming, walking, jogging, running, hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. For those with a more sedentary agenda, the scenery is magnificent and wildlife abounds. The beach and picnic area at Charlottenburgh Park have many features which attract thousands of individuals every year. They include:

- beach area with mature trees overlooking the St. Lawrence River
- beach volleyball
- horseshoe pit
- picnic area with BBQ's
- gazebo with large BBQ for family or company picnics
- washroom facility
- children's play structure
- concession stand

Avec accès toute l'année, ce site est en mesure d'offrir la natation, la marche, le jogging, la course, la randonnée, la raquette et le ski de fond. Pour ceux avec un ordre du jour plus sédentaire, le paysage est magnifique et la faune est abondante. La plage et la région de pique-nique au parc Charlottenburg ont de nombreuses caractéristiques qui attirent des milliers d'individus chaque année. Ils comprennent:
