Parc provincial Bonnechere Provincial Park

(La version française suivra) The Bonnechere Provincial Park is located on Round Lake in the Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township of Renfrew County. The meandering Bonnechere River once carried furs and pine logs out of this Ottawa Valley region. Now canoes move along its leisurely, ever-changing path to Round Lake, where there is a small sandy beach with a buoyed area ideal for family swimming. The beach has shallow gradual drop-offs. If you wish to stay overnight, electric campsites are available. Flush Toilets, Showers, a Visitor Centre, laundry room, boat launch, playground, a park store are all facilities/services offered by the campground. You can also hike, fish and paddle in the area. Keep your eyes open for the painted turtle.

Le parc provincial Bonnechere se situe sur le lac Round dans la municipalité de Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards du comté de Renfrew. La rivière sinueuse Bonnechere servait autrefois à transporter les fourrures et les billes de pin à l'extérieur de cette région de la vallée de l'Outaouais. De nos jours, les canoteurs suivent lentement le parcours changeant de la rivière jusqu'au lac Round, où se trouve une petite plage sablonneuse balisée qui est idéale pour la baignade en famille. La plage s'approfondit en pentes douces. Si vous désirez passer plus d'une journée, il y a un camping sur place. Vous aurez accès aux douches, toilettes, salle de lavage, petit magasin, terrain de jeux, un centre des visiteurs, une rampe de mise à l'eau. Pour les tarifs associés aux services offerts par le camping, veuillez vous adresser à Parcs Ontario. La région est idéale pour des promenades en canot et gardez l’œil ouvert pour les tortues peintes!
