(La version française suivra) Petawawa Point, affectionately refered to by locals as "the Point", is a lovely sandy beach on the Ottawa River in Petawawa. The beach includes washrooms, picnic tables, a canteen, a beach volleyball court, and a play structure. Stand-up paddleboard rentals are available 7 days a week from 11am-7pm.
The river bed drop off is a gradual to moderate drop off to a deeper boat channel. The river bed is sandy with some freshwater mussels. Keep your eye open for them! There is a picnic area but lifeguards do not monitor the area. There is a boat launch on the east side of Petawawa Point that is designated as a no-swimming area. Petawawa Point extends as a series of islands across the Ottawa River to Quebec. The confluence of the Petawawa and Ottawa Rivers is 500m upriver from the point. Paddling among the islands by canoe or kayak is common, but be careful crossing the motorboat channels which is marked by buoys. Petawawa Point is made up of as a series of islands across the Ottawa River to Québec. The junction of the Petawawa and Ottawa Rivers is 500 m upriver from the Point. The water quality at this beach is monitored weekly by the Renfrew County District Public Health Unit.



Petawawa Point, que les gens du coin appellent affectueusement "la Pointe", est une belle plage de sable qui se situe sur la rivière des Outaouais à Petawawa. On y retrouve des toilettes, des tables de pique-nique, une cantine, un terrain de volley-ball et une structure de jeu. Vous pouvez louer des stand up paddle boards 7 jours par semaine de 11am-7pm.
La descente en eaux profondes est graduelle. Les bateaux motorisées crée des petites vagues en passant près de la plage. Le lit benthique possède des moules d'eau fraîche! Faites attentions pour les repérer! Il n'y a pas de sauveteurs sur les lieux, procèdez à vos propres risques. Il y a une zone de mise à l'eau pour les embarcations nautiques sur le côté est de Petawawa Point qui est fortement utilisée par les résidents locaux. Il y a une séries d'îles sur la rivière des Outaouais traversant jusqu'au Québec. Vous pouvez explorer ces îles par canots ou kayaks mais soyez aux aguets des bateaux motorisés. L'échantillonnage pour la qualité de l'eau se fait par semaine par le bureau de santé publique du compté de Renfrew.
