Pier Beach

Beach

Pier Beach (formerly Bayfield Main Beach) is located in Bayfield, Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron. This lovely sandy beach is the perfect place to sunbathe and take a dip in the cool water or play in the sand with the kids. The pier on the north side of the beach near the mouth of the Bayfield River provides opportunities for boat watching, fishing or strolling at sunset. The beach boasts naturally sensitive features like dunes and bluffs.

Pier Beach is fully equipped with lifesaving stations. Amenities close to the beach include accessible public washrooms and parking. A pedestrian walkway a short distance east of the beach joins the beach and marina visitors to the scenic Main Street of Bayfield. To access this tranquil beach, turn left onto Short Hill Road from Hwy. 21 just before crossing the bridge over the river. Turn right on Long Hill Road.
