Port Franks Marina

Beach

Boaters are invited to experience the natural beauty of Port Franks through the Harbour’s free “Loan-a-Bike” program. The Marina is surrounded by beautiful sand dunes, and home to several rare species of birds, fish, reptiles and insects. The Queen Snake, Map Turtle, Eastern Sand Darter, and Greenside Darter can all be found along this peaceful shore. Patrons are encouraged to use the recycling facilities and Solar Digesters installed throughout the park to minimize waste going to landfill and contribute to the marina’s waste diversion targets.

The Port Franks facility was acquired from the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority in 2001 and includes a community park, picnic area and in addition provides a public boat launch. This marina boasts 90 seasonal docks and 2 transient slips. Boaters are more than welcome to experience the natural beauty of Port Franks through the Harbour's free 'Loan-a-Bike' program. Patrons are also able to increase their waste diversion through the utilization of our various recycle bins and the Solar Digesters, which are installed through-out the park. Recently the Harbour installed updated playground equipment, a volleyball court and a walkway through the wooded area of the park.

The Marina is open for operation from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving weekend.
