Big Bend Conservation Area is an idyllic little getaway along the Thames River. A boat launch is available for an unforgettable ride down the river, while an accessible boardwalk and several trails wind their way through the park. Visitors can camp in the dense Carolinian forest and visit the famous archaeological site! Here, you will find remnants of ancient hunting and gathering societies from over 3,000 years ago. For those looking to relax among the wilderness, there are picnic tables and shelters scattered throughout the site, as well as an open sports field for your next great family football game! Big Bend is also a popular fishing destination, with yellow perch and pickerel being the most prominent catches along the Thames River.
