Callaghan’s Rapids Conservation Area gets its name from the impressive rapids that flow along the Crowe River and over two small waterfalls. The park is also home to limestone bedrock caves, with a beautiful wading spot for those looking to splash about in the cool, clear freshwater. Or, bring your kayak or canoe for a peaceful paddle along the river. When the river level is low enough, it is possible to explore the river bed and cave systems on foot. Get a close-up view of the zigzagging patterns that decorate the bedrock as you discover all that Callaghan’s Rapids Conservation Area has to offer!
