Hazelwood Conservation Area is a vast 1,527 park located just 25 minutes from the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario. This wilderness getaway is the perfect spot for a day trip with friends and family, or hosting your next great event! Visitors enjoy barbeques and picnics among the spectacular scenery and taking leisurely walks along the 7 km of trails. Launch your canoe or kayak from the shore and explore the region on the lake, or jump in for a swim in the clear, fresh water! The water is nice and shallow — perfect for kids and beginner swimmers. Spend your evening fishing on the banks of the lake, and come back in the winter for an unforgettable snowshoeing adventure.
