Whitchurch Conservation Area

Park

For anyone who loves a relaxing, leisurely walk in the forest, Whitchurch Conservation Area offers a pleasant excursion any time of the year. Located in the Township of Whitchurch-Stouffville, this 11 hectare property is mainly wooded, and sits on the northern edge of the ecologically significant Oak Ridges Moraine. Part of the Greenbelt Walks network, the park contains a small, man-made pond that fills with tadpoles each spring. It’s a lovely spot for a picnic, fishing, or a nice hike. Rustic nature trails cross the property, and connect to the Oak Ridges Trail and York Region Forest. Birders have an opportunity to see northern orioles and other species, and kids can observe amphibians and wildlife around the pond. Picnic pavilion and washrooms are provided. A great place to hike and relax with the family!
