Birch Point Beach

Beach

Birch Point Beach is a lovely, 15-metre grassy strip, on the shore of the beautiful Lake Balsam. Situated in the Kawartha Lakes region, the lake is connected on one side by the Trent Canal to Michell Lake, and across the lake, water flows down the Trent-Severn Water Way into Cameron Lake. Balsam Lake is known for being the highest elevation, ocean-navigable body of water in the world. The beach can be found at the end of Birchwood Lane, just off a road of the same name as the beach. A rope swing and the shallow, sandy swimming area make this spot a popular destination for children and teens!
