(La version française suivra) In small town Lyndhurst, right by the beautiful old bridge is a very attractive dock used for canoe/kayak and very small boat launches. Their are swimming ladders and old brick homes that beautifully surround the little zen swimming spot. There is no sand, no beach but locals have told me that this is a popular swimming spot for the kids of the area. The water isen't very deep and no lifeguards are on the sites. The picture above doesn't do it justice. This peaceful, quaint location isn't being tested for water quality by the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit and has overgrown vegetation on the shoreline and algae in the lake.

I swim for 2 or 3 times a week from the RMC wharf to Fort Henry West Tower or CFB Kingston Marina or to Cedar Island and back. Best times are 1st thing in the morning when the lake is calm like glass and visibility is about 15 to 20 ft -- Awesome beautiful swims!
