Joni's Beach

Beach

Located just a quick walk from the ferry dock in La Pointe, Joni’s Beach is the perfect destination if you came over from the mainland without a vehicle or if you have younger children.

The beach offers a playground, parking lot, restrooms (seasonal), a picnic pavilion and a small dock to enjoy the views of the lake. Additionally, kayak rentals are available across the street at Apostle Island Kayaks. The relatively shallow water near the beach makes it a bit warmer for swimming, but late summer is still the best time as Lake Superior’s water is cold most of the year.

The town of La Pointe wil have other amenities such as coffee, restaurants and grocery stores, all within walking distance of the park.

No specific regulations are mentioned for this beach. That said we ask that you observe any posted regulations and clean up after yourself and your pet. Prior to enjoying your day at the beach or on the water, please check the local weather forecast and be attentive to changing conditions. Additional questions can be directed to the Madeline Island Chamber of Commerce at 715-747-2801
