Memorial Bayfield

Beach

The city of Bayfield along Wisconsin’s Lake Superior shoreline is known as the gateway to the Apostle Islands. The city’s small town charm and gorgeous setting along the lake make it feel akin to small coastal towns in New England.

One of the things that adds to the charm of Bayfield is its great lakefront parks and beaches. All of Bayfields lakefront parks and beaches are in close proximity to downtown and are easily visited the same day.

Bayfield’s memorial park is a great place for those looking to picnic or just relax in the cool summer breeze coming off of the lake. Although there is no swimming beach at the park, this place is still worth a visit for the amazing views of the lake and the Apostle islands.

No restrooms are on site at the park, but can be easily accessed at the town boat launch off 3rd St or just off of Washington Ave near the Apostle Island ferry dock and Washington Ave Beach.

The park is closed between midnight and 5 am. Bayfield has a full range of dining, camping and lodging options to consider if you are making a full day or night of your visit. Please observe all posted regulations during your visit. Questions can be directed to the town of Bayfield at 715-779-5712.
