Moonlight Beach is a Blue Flag Beach for the 2023 season*.

Located East of Sudbury, on the eastern shore of Ramsey Lake, Moonlight Beach is a small swimming location offering park trails and leisure areas. This beach is one of Sudbury’s more popular beaches boasting over 700 feet of shoreline and offering free parking, a playground, and picnic benches. Lifeguards are on duty from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week from June 23rd to August 19th. If you are looking for a bit of a trek, Lake Laurentian Conservation Area to Moonlight Beach trail is a moderate to difficult 3.5 km path. This trail is part of the Greater Sudbury Trail system known as Rainbow Routes and provides many scenic views of Laurentian Lake and is well suited to hiking, biking and walking.

*A Blue Flag beach is one that meets strict water quality and safety criteria. These beaches are certified annually as being clean, accessible, eco-friendly, and having great water quality! Swim Drink Fish is the National Operator for Blue Flag in Canada.
