Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park - Jingwakoki Beach

Beach

Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park, named after the 17th-century explorer, is located along the Mattawa River, east of North Bay. The park celebrates the voyageurs who tackled the portages and rapids here, and is home to three beaches, all located on the refreshing and clear waters of Moore Lake. The Jingwakoki campground has a shallow beach that is perfect for water games or relaxing in a floatie. There is a boat launch near the beach, as well as a playground for kids or the young at heart. There is limited parking, pets are not permitted on the beach, and there are no lifeguards on duty. A life jacket lending program is available at the Park Store, including rental canoes and stand up paddleboards. Garbage and recycling facilities are located near the parking area, and the comfort station is just a 3 minute walk away!
