Situated at the crossroads of the impressive Niagara Escarpment and Oak Ridges Moraine is Glen Haffy Conservation Area. This park offers breathtaking views over the serene natural hills. Wind your way through the area on scenic trails, past open spaces, thick forests, and ponds. A fish hatchery is on site, raising thousands of rainbow trout that are released into the ponds within the conservation area and the Headwater Trout Ponds. Visitors of all ages can join the Glen Haffy Fly Fishers Club and learn about fishing in the Great Lakes region! The park is also an ideal destination for birdwatchers, with many rare species including black-throated green warblers and wild turkeys.

Even growing up close to the lake, you don’t always get out on the water if you don’t have a boat. I’ve been doing a lot of paddle boarding the last couple years and getting out on the water really makes you feel more connected to it.
