Located just 2 km east of Picton, Ontario, is the quaint 7 km H.J. McFarland Conservation Area. The park offers stunning views of the Bay of Quinte, with over 180 m of shoreline along the escarpment and scenic bluffs. The park is a popular spot because of its free public boat launch and sheltered lakeside picnic areas. The grass is well-groomed and many stop for a relaxing afternoon of fishing, kayaking, or simply enjoying the scenery. If you launch a boat from H.J. McFarland Conservation Area, you have the choice to paddle towards Picton, Ontario, or towards the immense Lake Ontario.
