Located just 2 km east of Picton, Ontario, is the quaint 7 km H.J. McFarland Conservation Area. The park offers stunning views of the Bay of Quinte, with over 180 m of shoreline along the escarpment and scenic bluffs. The park is a popular spot because of its free public boat launch and sheltered lakeside picnic areas. The grass is well-groomed and many stop for a relaxing afternoon of fishing, kayaking, or simply enjoying the scenery. If you launch a boat from H.J. McFarland Conservation Area, you have the choice to paddle towards Picton, Ontario, or towards the immense Lake Ontario.

This is a place that is inset into the Golden Horseshoe and its a place where you can capture what the Great Lake used to be in the Golden Horseshoe. Going there both inspires me and inspires many other people and we hope we can keep it
