Luther Marsh Conservation area is an impressive 14,500 acre property containing wetlands, meadows, and forests. The variety of habitats support an abundance of wildlife, including over 260 bird species, 35 mammal species, and 20 species of amphibians and reptiles. In other words, Luther Marsh is a biological hotspot! Situated at the headwaters of the Grand River watershed, this quiet and secluded spot is popular for hiking, hunting, boating, and fishing. This conservation area is also home to Luther Lake, which was created by the Lyther dam in the 1950s. An extensive 33 km of trail winds its way throughout the marsh, ideal for all experience levels. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for wildflowers and stop off at the wildlife viewing tower. Luther Marsh Conservation Area is a must-see for nature lovers!
