Parkhill Conservation Area

Park

Parkhill Conservation Area is an impressive 2,000 acre park with over 10 km of trails and a lovely reservoir. The 200 acre reservoir was originally created to control flooding and soil erosion downstream and is now the perfect location for summer fun. Swim, paddle, fish, and windsurf around the lake’s island or relax on the sandy beach. In the wintertime, enjoy snowmobiling and tobogganing along the many hills and trails. Within the conservation area is a campground known as the Great Canadian Hideaway. Within the campgrounds visitors can rent bikes, go karts, and participate in various sporting events. The campsite also hosts several events throughout the year, including an annual Candlelight Walk, fireworks, and Haunted Weekend. It is no surprise that Parkhill Conservation Area is a favourite camping destination!
