Bradford

Located along Lake Michigan, Bradford Beach is one of Milwaukee’s top destinations on a hot summer day. Built in the 1920’s, Bradford Beach and Lincoln memorial drive expanded the lakeshore out into the east below the bluff. Prior to the 1920’s, the location of Bradford and much of Milwaukee’s Lakefront was underwater.

The beach has plenty to do with volleyball courts, open green space, surfing, and swimming. If you’re feeling hungry grab a bite at MooSa’s Snack Bar or a drink to cool off from one of the three tiki bars on the beach. Washrooms are available at Moosa’s at the south end of the beach and at the Bradford Beach House located further north along Lincoln Memorial Drive. Additionally, the Oak Leaf Bicycle and pedestrian trail connects Bradford Beach to Mckinley Beach, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and Veterans Park all immediately South of the Beach.

The beach is wheelchair accessible. The beach is open from 6am to 10pm. Pets are welcome on the north end of the beach.

There are NO lifeguards for the 2022 season.
