Lakeshore State Park

Beach

Located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, Lakeshore State Park is situated to allow recreationalists easy access to walking/running paths and fishing areas while enjoying amazing views of the Milwaukee Skyline and Lake Michigan. Although swimming is not allowed the small beach that opens up to the protected lagoon, and can be used for fishing, and launching kayaks. The beach and boat access is walk-in only, so those wishing to launch watercraft from the park will need to carry their boats in.

The park has no fees, nor is a Wisconsin State Parks car pass required for entry. The best access for parking is either in the area around the Discovery World Museum along North Harbor Drive, or just North of the Milwaukee Pierhead Lighthouse along Erie Street.

The park is open daily from 6am-10pm.

Dogs are allowed on the paths in the park, but must be leashed.

No restrooms are available, but portable restrooms are often available on the North and South ends of the park.
