Negwegon State Park

Beach

Negwegon State Park is located on the north edge of the town of Black River. The park offers hiking, hunting, backcountry camping, paddling, and swimming along an undeveloped sandy beach on Lake Huron. Visitors should note that the roads into the park are often so sandy that a four-wheel drive vehicle is needed. A nearby public access area at the mouth of the Black River, operated by the Department of Natural Resources, offers a boat launch for fishing opportunities including perch, salmon and trout.
