Windy Ridge Conservation Area

Park

Windy Ridge Conservation Area is a lovely park located just southeast of Lindsay Ontario. This 209 acre property gives visitors a view into the past, with terrain highly sculpted by ancient glacial activity. The park was named an International Biological Program Site and is home to the Oak Ridges Moraine and the Hogsback Esker, both natural areas of significance and beauty. Windy Ridge is also home to a provincially significant wetland and a variety of plant and animal species. Visitors can enjoy bird watching, hiking, cycling, and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. It is an ideal destination for a relaxing stroll in the open air. Enjoy a panoramic view from the lookout atop the area’s tallest ridge or a picnic at the tables within the marshlands.
