Fleetwood Creek Natural Area

Located within the Oak Ridges Moraine is the beautiful Fleetwood Creek Natural Area. This park is home to a river valley system composed of lowland forests, hardwood bush, valleys, meadows, and coldwater streams. It has been designated as a Provincially Significant Earth and Life Science Area of Natural and Scientific Interest. Fleetwood Creek offers spectacular hiking, birding, and picnicking, particularly in autumn. Stop by when the leaves change colour and soak up the stunning views of the valley as you traverse the 8 km of trails. Keep your eyes peeled for the many plant and animal species that live within the park, including over 250 plant species and 44 types of birds. You might even spot wild turkeys as they dart along the forest floor.
