C.M. Wilson Conservation area is a beautiful 74 acre property located just south of Chatham, Ontario. There are beautiful day-use areas with a pavilion for rent and picnic tables by the water. The conservation area is home to 100 well-maintained campsites, a playground, an outdoor classroom, and a gatehouse with supplies and concession. There is even a rustic barn for rent — the perfect venue for a wedding or a family get-together! Rent a canoe or bicycle for an unforgettable journey along the many nature trails or around the lake.

The evenings were meditative: listening to the waves wash upon the shore, staring at the stars, and digging my feet in the cool sand. Lake Erie, like all lakes, is dynamic; it provided me with food, leisure, and therapy.
